Karkinoids (or "man-crabs") are immense, 12' tall crustaceans that reach heights of 20' when telescoping upon their middle limbs. The ornery beings possess freakish speed, agility, and maneuverability, and make impossible leaps with ease. Karkinoids often attack by surprise from under ground, to better drag victims to their subterranean lairs.

Special Abilities
- Armor +6: Spiked carapace.

- Fear -4: A karkinoid's crustacean cruelty triggers Fear checks at -4.
- Fleet-Footed: Karkinoids roll a d12+2 for their Running die, and aren't penalized by rough / sandy terrain.
- Flying Crush: Karkinoids can launch into the air and crush all foes in Small Burst Template, doing 2d10 damage and a Shaken result to all those that fail an Agility roll -2.
- Improved Sweep: Karkinoids can attack all adjacent foes at no penalty.
- Large: Attackers gain +4 to hit them due to their size.
- Size +4: Karkinoids are 12' tall (until they elongate their legs, that is) and just as wide.
- Springy Step: Karkinoids can leap 32" horizontally and 64" vertically.
- Subterranean Senses: Karkinoids ignore Dim and Dark lighting penalties, and get +2 to all Notice rolls.
- Wall-Crawling: Karkinoids skitter up vertical surfaces and across ceilings at full Pace 12.
